Review: Battlefield Bad Company 2 (PC)

After a decent upgrade to my PC (I ..... got a GTX 570!) I cornered this little masterpiece that is now at bargain prices (at least on PC).

History and Battlefield Bad Company Gameplay

2 takes place in a period from the Cold War to the present day, we are part of a special body (of 4 soldiers) who must try to avert a threat planet, moving in secret missions and highly risky.
The story (I do not want spoilers) is very intriguing, although not reaching the levels of Black Ops.
The game is a typical modern FPS, there are many available weapons (if indeed compared with titles like Black Ops) but there are those that are highly differentiated and adapted to specific strategies. Each weapon can have add-on of various kinds, from classical to the grenade launcher sights ACOG.
One of the most interesting features of the game is the system of interaction with the environment, in practice, here everything is destructible ... we can break down walls, vehicles, poles .. all .. even after some houses collapsed. This sophisticated damage system can therefore be very dynamic in the choice of strategies as the environment surrounding the fact of change ... always hiding behind a wall does not give us a permanent shelter (as in many other games) in that it also will not having undergone a certain amount of hits. This
there are in the single player .. but also in multi player !!!!! and I assure you that it is extremely rewarding.

should make a strong distinction between single and multi However, as there are substantial differences in the management of arms. In the single player game is fairly linear (at COD for instance) even though in several junctures, you can choose different strategies to reach the next checkpoint, and this thanks to the fact that the environment is "change" with the passage of time. There is the effect of enemy-infinite number of enemies here, however massive, is a finite number so we can also adopt defensive strategies to the bitter end without getting embroiled in a point at infinity.
Unfortunately, the AI \u200b\u200bis not so wonderful, often the enemies move in patterns rather simple ... too bad because otherwise it would be a 10-game honors.
must say that the single player is extremely easy to complete, even if you set the level more difficult it is accomplished in less than no time and this leaves a little bitter in the mouth, but at the same time shows that the real core business of the game does not reside in the countryside but in multiplay.
addition to being able to use different types of weapons during the game we will drive vehicles and helicopters of various types, even these vehicles will be used in multiplay, and give you advice on the helicopter .. bodies with joystick (or gamepad limit) because mouse and keyboard is unplayable!

multiplay system, as mentioned earlier, is the real core business of the game and is done very very well. From the control panel you can quickly choose different options and modalities. Again, there is a rank, you start as a recruit and go up to as they accumulate experience points and such Points are earned differently depending on the type of game that we do and the role it plays. In fact, here are the "profiles" (engineer, infantry, scouts and doctors), each with specific characteristics and weaponry.
armaments and add-ons are unlocked gradually reaching certain rank or completing certain challenges.

The multiplay is a kind of drug, and in my opinion, is more fun and longevity of multiplay CoD. Suffice it to say that BBC2 requires more cooperative effort in order to play good games online. Graphics and Sound

BBC2 The sound is amazing, perhaps the best sound ever heard in a game like this, the 3D effects are made as to the great noise .. weapons and explosions are really well done. By far the best I've ever heard. Graphically
is considerable, is still used the now ancient Havok but completely renovated and taken to the extreme ... here if we have a hardware of a certain "weight" we can enjoy a truly impressive graphics and effects, especially if we activate the HDR lighting which makes it even more realistic visual impact (awesome when we play in the desert or the mountains covered with snow by a reverberation the light really well done).
All this has a cost, say that with a Q9400 "pulled", 4 Gbytes DDDR2 a GTX570 and you can play at full details (with a AAx32 active) to an average of 65-70 fps. With a system based on a dual core E6600 "stock" and a 5770 you can play at medium details with no AA and active and keep the same FPS. Unfortunately, it is a game that sucks not only resources but also CPU GPU (to calculate the environmental changes of course).
The game is also available on PS3 and Xbox are well made and even on these two platforms that offer the game at native resolution of 720p (and upscaled to 1080p) while almost all the graphics features of the PC version. Between the two versions is recommended that the 360, which is (a little) better made than the PS3 version. The game lends itself well to be played even with the pad .. Let's face it, the game always be designed to run on console and PC, are found many ways typical of console .. if you have one of the console, or if you have a very powerful PC, I advise you to grab the game (on 360 or PS3) and do not regret it!
